Marking: zonal / man-to-man / hybrid

How it works on the pitch

Zonal: each player owns a space — whoever enters my zone, I mark (solid, but can blur responsibilities). Man-to-man: each player shadow-marks an opponent regardless of position (clear responsibilities, but can be 'dragged' out of shape). Hybrid: zonal in open play, man-to-man on set pieces.
